Totally does what it promises, as it is completely waterproof. Lovely and soft to lie on—quite sensuous too. As others have mentioned, liquids stay on the surface rather than being absorbed, so keeping a towel handy is a smart idea. I’ve washed it and it came out perfectly. However, even after the spin cycle in the machine, there was still quite a lot of water left in it. I’ve noticed this with other waterproof products, so it wasn’t unexpected. Surprisingly, it didn’t take as long to dry as I thought it would. Well worth it for the softness. I would recommend it.
