How to find the G-spot

Table of Content

Do you have doubts about whether or not you have a G-spot? Don’t worry, everyone has one. It just takes a little practice to find it.

In this guide, we’ll help you learn how to find it - both with and without sex toys.

You’ll also get tips on how to achieve the coveted G-spot orgasm, but first, let’s establish where and what the G-spot actually is.

What and where is the G-spot?

Your G-spot is not really a spot but rather an area. The surface tissue feels a bit like a soft walnut and more spongy than the surrounding vaginal tissue.

It’s about 2-3 cm inside your vagina on the “front” of the vagina canal towards your pubic bone and sits just in front of the cervix.

It’s a very sensitive area that swells up when you’re sexually aroused, which actually makes it easiest to find when you’re excited.

It feels amazing to have it stimulated, and if it’s done in the right way you might even experience a deep G-spot orgasm.

How to find the G-spot

When you’re exploring and trying to locate your G-spot, it’s a good idea to start by using your fingers. It will give you a clear sense of where it’s located and how it responds to stimulation.

When you’re ready to start the “finger game”, lie down on your back with your legs spread apart. Bend your knees up and place your feet flat against the bed. This position makes it the easiest for you to hit the area with your fingers. You can also place a pillow under your bum to slightly lift the pelvis.

Apply a good amount of lubricant in and around the vagina and fingers. Then insert one to two fingers about 2-3 cm into the vagina, or longer if it feels comfortable and natural. The area itself is quite close to the vaginal entrance towards the pubic bone. Bend your fingers slightly so they touch the soft tissue inside. Then start by massaging the area with your fingers and press on the area with small “come hither” motions, as demonstrated in the picture.

The spot should feel a little more uneven than the rest, and the area is around the size of a small walnut. When you can feel it, you’ve found the G-spot!

Play with your G-spot

Now that you’ve found your G-spot, give yourself a pat on the back because you're now on your way to heaven!

The spongy little nub you’ve found is ready for stimulation. Use your own fingers to play with the spot to get used to the feeling and quickly be able to locate it again. You can also help your partner find the point and have them participate in play with either their fingers or a sex toy.

Generally, constant and firm pressure is recommended but be open to what feels good to you and take it from there - we’re all different.

Add sex toys

What feels good with fingers will feel good with sex toys, and there are plenty of toys specifically designed to stimulate the G-spot - usually in the form of a vibrator or dildo. You can usually spot them by their extra curvature. It’s this curvature that helps you hit the right area and achieve orgasmic stimulation.

You can also use a vibrating egg, because some of them have an ergonomic design that makes the egg hit your sweet spot perfectly. As with any toy, you can choose to use it alone or with a partner.

A G-spot dildo can come in many different shapes. Some are curvier than others or more flexible. You can also get them in silicone and steel, so it’s a matter of preference.

We can recommend the njoy Pure Wand. It’s made of medical-grade steel and is ideal for hitting the famous area due to its curvature. And it’s a fave among many of the world’s leading sex experts.

With a steel stimulator you can even experiment with temperature by chilling and warming up the dildo.

LELO Enigma Double Clitoris and G-spot Stimulator

A G-spot orgasm is nice enough in itself, but if you want to make it even better, you can stimulate your clitoris at the same time. But we’re not just talking about warming it up this time. You can get sex toys that focus on both your clitoris and G-spot simultaneously. It can create an intense and exciting experience which usually results in unforgettable blended orgasms.

If you want the best of both worlds, you can find many sex toys designed specifically for this purpose. One of those you’ll stumble across is the popular LELO Enigma, which has pleased many women across the globe.

It has a curved shaft that is curved to hit the right spot, while at the same time, the clitoral stimulator sits at the top. The shaft has powerful vibrations while the clitoris stimulator uses the very popular air pressure pulsations to create incomparable orgasms.

You can choose whether you want to use both pulsations and vibrations at the same time or just one or the other if things get too intense.

What does a G-spot orgasm feel like?

Since the G-spot is very close to the urethra, you may feel like you have to urinate. Don’t worry, you don’t and you won’t (especially if you’ve already emptied your bladder prior). Although some women actually ejaculate fluid when they orgasm (and some simply by being aroused), this isn’t necessarily urine.

In fact, it’s physically impossible to pee and ejaculate fluid at the same time so relax your pelvic floor muscles and enjoy! Then the feeling of having to pee should go away after.

However, many women struggle to feel whether or not they’re having the famous orgasm. This is because it feels very different from a clitoral orgasm, which is nice but quickly over. This type of orgasm is much deeper and more moving. Many people are actually emotionally affected by it.

It takes practice to achieve a G-spot orgasm. It probably won’t work the first time you try, but keep practising and remember to relax!

Different ways to G-spot orgasms

Our amazing bodies are dynamic and diverse, so for some, it will take more practice than others. For some, the G-spot can deliver the most intense and deep orgasms they’ve ever had. For others, it’s just a nice addition to the long list of other orgasms they’re capable of having. For the rest, that type of stimulation is completely irrelevant and something they can easily live without.

But it doesn’t matter which category you fall into because exploring your body is a goal in itself - and we’d say it’s half the fun.

So spend some quality time with yourself and find out what feels good. If you’d like to experiment with some G-spot stimulation during intercourse, give doggy style a try - sex from behind is made for just that. Consider whether a toy might be something for you - even if your fingers haven’t had the desired effect, maybe you just need something else to get your body going.

Whichever method you try, make sure you start with one you’re comfortable with. If you have trouble relaxing during the process, remember that it’s a good idea to be good and aroused before taking it all the way. You can start by warming up with a small clitoral vibrator or get your partner to do it.

In fact, it may even be a good idea to have a clitoral orgasm first before moving on to internal stimulation.

We are all different

The G-spot gets a lot of publicity for being an explosive erogenous zone, and though it’s true for most, that doesn’t mean it’s that way for everyone. It’s important to note that not all women find this area erotically stimulating - some even find it downright unpleasant.  This is completely natural and is 100% okay.

The sensitivity has a lot to do with how your body works, how thick your vaginal walls are, general physical differences, and it can depend on your age too. Some women report intense G-spot orgasms in their 40s despite never having had them before.

Still, others will never think of it as an erotically sensitive area at all. Should this be the case for you, take it easy. First of all, it may come later in life, and if not, there are plenty of other areas on your body you can play with that will bring you orgasmic pleasure.

Either way, the magic words are “relax”. It can take time, and your body might need to get used to a new type of sensual pleasure. Be gentle, loving, and most of all, have fun. Whether you achieve a G-spot orgasm or not, you can be sure that the play will always have a happy ending.
